Romualda’s DNA is represented in its hats: the joy of summer and the poetry of Cris’s art, the sweetness of a “siesta” in the shade of a tree.
This is the spirit of all our collections, also in our Ready to Wear, Swimwear and Accessories lines: very local, very universal!
WE CARE about the future and we care about the environment.
That’s why we prefer to work with natural fabrics, sustainable processes in short runs and
with European manufacturers to be close to the whole process.
Our prints are created by Cris in her studio, and we develop and produce them with a
traditional Italian partner who has integrated digital technology to make their processes more responsible.
PRINTED: on a silk cotton fabric with satin inside (super soft to the skin)
and matt on the outside to be faithful to the original colours of the two print colours (Hyacinth in lilacs and Obelia in greens).
Three dresses, one pair of trousers and two tops to coordinate with each other or
with any of the plains or embroideries in the rest of the collection.
So don’t wait and see there new unique collection!!

The Journey of People of Baju
Founded in New Delhi’s summer of 2019 in a small yet ambitious dye setup, we began as an experiment of nature’s natural dyes. Extracts of beetroots and pomegranates, and leftovers of roses, marigolds and bougainvilleas adorned our birthplace, a kitchen.
The first to be born in our upturned cradle was our signature pale pink palette. This entrepreneurial initiative gave our founder her vision, and us a road ahead. A road carved by passion and distinguished by grace,In 2020 Baju was introduced to Jakarta, Indonesia. A country filled with distinguished art, culture and its own heritage. Baju aims to bring both these worlds together, offering a unique sense of living.
Baju is a young indigenous label, focusing to create designs that are affordable, comfortable and flattering to all body types. Our products support local communities, handcrafted in Indonesia and India.
Our brand identity takes shape from our Indian and Indonesian roots. Baju is a word close to our hearts, like its meaning in Hindi, In Indonesian, it represents beautiful clothes.

After three years, he decided to return to Colombia to study fashion design in his native city of Ibagué.
John wished to incorporate the ancient techniques of the Andean tribes in a more luxurious context,
combining the cultural heritage of both cities he had lived in.
His mantra ‘give the past a future’ embodied his commitment to reignite diminishing local art forms and techniques.
By 2017, he had co-founded Chirimoya. Joining forces with an Austrian start-up investor based in London.
Inspired by its vibrant art scene and proximity to the indigenous artisans he had studied,
John decided to establish the brand in Ibagué – which remains to be the creative home of the brand to this day.
As an Andes-based brand, we believe supporting local communities to be crucial.
Luckily for us, our Pima cotton is grown in Peru and has been proven to be one of the
longest strains of cotton in the world – renowned for both its durable and luxurious qualities.
Our cotton is ethically manufactured and our sources adhere to labour laws,
pay fair wages and ensure there is no child or slave labour present.
