We want to introduce you our new brand Romualda. Romualda is a Spanish brand of hand-painted hats and clothing. Cristina and Mariana, the painter and designer behind Romualda, joined forces to create beautiful and unique objects that reflect their love for beauty. Furthermore, Romualda has grown into a community of free and creative spirits, constantly surprising and bringing joy. Inspired by the first artists, they use ancestral techniques and pure materials to capture the essence of everyday emotions. That’s why we of Modern Showroom are targeting this brand.

The name Romualda comes from a Dutch artist they met when they were children. Her way of creating and understanding life inspired Cristina and Mariana to imagine a project that respects and loves the world we live in. As a result, they named the brand Romualda. Romualdo strives for sustainability. Firstly, the cotton they use for the hand-painted hats at Romualda comes from agricultural cooperatives in Uganda and Kyrgyzstan. Secondly, Romualda ensures fair trade prices and support the restoration of traditional knowledge through their supplier’s collaboration with an NGO. Furthermore, they produce the hats with pure wild silk and linen, allowing for complete recycling. Romualda prioritizes tradition and expertise by manufacturing their hats in northern Spain. Moreover, the wadding of Romualda is sourced from recycled bottles, and they work with women at risk of exclusion for their cotton bags. The packaging is made from recycled materials and is fully recyclable.
